START HERE
A lovely guide pointing to all the posts you will need.
STEP ONE
PLOT.
RULES.
Every RP site has these two basic components.
STEP TWO
A summary on the RP format here:
Unlike most RPs, we're not filled with 100% open RPs. Instead, we have something similar to a TV show format. We have episodes and seasons. Each episode will have a plot (or multiple, depending on the member count at the time), much like an episode of Stargate. This episode will have a plot that the characters need to resolve, before it can end. It's up to you and your fellow members to find a way around the problem presented. This can be discussed in the Briefing Room board, with a thread that is designated for discussing how to resolve the plot of the episode.
In addition to the episodes, you are free to Open RP to your hearts content. Open RPs should be character-centric and fun - and overall not touch the over-arching plot of the site.
STEP THREE
Now there are a bunch of threads you can read and/or skim for general knowledge of the website itself, and the content we are presenting you with. It can all be found HERE on the Info Board. Things like Uniforms, Ranks, and even A History of Legacy of the Asgard. Much more can be found on that board as well.[/blockquote]
STEP FOUR
Ready to make a character? Well then you want to go to Applicants Board. If you are not done with your application when you post it, please put "WIP" (Work in progress) somewhere in the title, so the staff won't tell you to fix something that isn't done. Feedback will be PMed to you to keep it private. If an application is left for ages without the requested changes, it will be put into the Denied Board. Once approved, a staff will post APPROVED on your application, and it will be moved to the Manifest board. Your pb/face claim will be added to the list, and the roster will be updated with your new character.[/blockquote]
NOW GO POST!
Note to ex-Stargate Delta people:
We have a 50/50 rule. For every old character you bring back from Delta, you have to make a new one. We'd honestly prefer more new characters, but old ones are welcomed.
